02 Setting Up TradingView

WolfSignal lives as an Invite-Only indicator on TradingView. You need a TradingView account (any plan, including free) and an active WolfSignal subscription to access it. Follow these steps to get the indicators on your chart.

  1. Log in to TradingView — Go to tradingview.com and sign in to your account. If you don't have one, create a free account.
  2. Open the Indicators panel — On any chart, click the Indicators button in the top toolbar (or press ⌥ + I on Mac / Alt + I on Windows).
  3. Go to "Invite-Only" scripts — In the Indicators panel, select the Invite-Only tab on the left sidebar. This tab only appears after your TradingView username has been granted access by WolfSignal.
  4. Search for "WolfSignal" — Type WolfSignal in the search box. You should see the WolfSignal indicator suite appear. If you don't, contact support — your access may not be linked yet.
  5. Add the indicator to your chart — Click the indicator to add it. You can add all available WolfSignal indicators to the same chart.
  6. Set your chart to NDX or QQQ, Daily timeframe — WolfSignal is calibrated for the NDX or QQQ tickers on the Daily (1D) timeframe. Results on other symbols or timeframes are not supported and will be inaccurate.

03 The 7 Indicators

WolfSignal computes a composite score from seven independent sub-indicators, each measuring a different dimension of market conditions. Each sub-indicator outputs a value between -1 (strongly bearish) and +1 (strongly bullish), and is weighted to produce the final signal.

ID Name Weight What It Measures
S1 Primary Trend 0.25 Long-term direction using 50/250 SMA crossover and slope
S2 Intermediate Trend 0.15 Medium-term momentum via 20/100 SMA relationship
S3 Short-Term Trend 0.10 Near-term price action using 10/30 SMA crossover
S4 Trend Strength 0.10 Statistical strength of current trend via linear regression z-score
S5 Momentum Velocity 0.15 Rate of change combined with its first derivative (acceleration)
S6 Mean Reversion 0.15 Bollinger Band %B — position within statistical price envelope
S7 Volatility Regime 0.10 Current vs historical volatility ratio — identifies risk-on/off conditions
Score range: -1.0 to +1.0  |  Above +0.25 = bullish bias  |  Below -0.15 = bearish bias  |  Between = neutral / hold

04 Strategy Combiners

05 Connecting Alpaca

WolfSignal uses Alpaca Markets for brokerage connectivity. Alpaca offers commission-free stock/ETF trading with a clean API — making it ideal for automated execution. Follow this sequence carefully.

  1. Create your Alpaca account — Visit alpaca.markets, sign up, and complete identity verification. US residents only for live trading.
  2. Start with Paper Trading — In your Alpaca dashboard, switch to the Paper Trading environment. This simulates real trades with no real money at risk.
  3. Generate API Keys — Go to Paper Trading → API Keys → Generate New Key. Copy your API Key ID and Secret Key — the secret is only shown once. Paste them into your WolfSignal dashboard settings.
  4. Run for 2 weeks on paper — Watch how the system executes signals. Confirm the logic matches your understanding. Review each trade in your Alpaca activity feed.
  5. Go live — small — When comfortable, create a Live Trading API key and start with a small position (e.g. $500–$1,000). Scale only after sustained paper + live experience.
🚨
Important Risk Warning: Connecting live API keys gives WolfSignal the ability to place real trades with real money on your behalf. You are solely responsible for any losses incurred. Always start with paper trading. Never connect funds you cannot afford to lose entirely.

07 Risk Management

WolfSignal trades 3× leveraged ETFs (TQQQ and SQQQ). This is not standard investing. Understand the risks before committing real capital.

⚠️
You can lose your entire investment. Leveraged ETF strategies have produced total or near-total losses in extreme market conditions. Only allocate capital you can afford to lose completely.

08 Frequently Asked Questions

Can I execute trades manually instead of using the API?
Yes. Manual execution is fully supported. Read the signal on your TradingView chart or dashboard, then place the trade yourself in Alpaca (or any broker). Alpaca API automation is optional and for convenience only.
Which broker does WolfSignal support?
Alpaca Markets is the recommended and officially supported broker for automated execution. Manual trading can be done with any broker that supports TQQQ and SQQQ (most US brokerages).
How often do signals change?
Typically 2–4 times per month. WolfSignal is not a day-trading system — it's designed for swing trades lasting days to weeks. Signals are evaluated daily at market close on the 1D timeframe.
Is this investment advice?
No. WolfSignal is educational software and a signal tool. Nothing on this platform constitutes personalized investment advice. AI Continuum Inc is not a registered investment advisor. Always consult a licensed financial professional before making investment decisions.
Can I lose money using WolfSignal?
Yes. Absolutely. You can lose some or all of your invested capital. Leveraged ETF strategies are high-risk instruments. No signal system eliminates market risk. Past performance shown in backtests does not guarantee future results.
Why NDX/QQQ specifically?
WolfSignal's indicators are calibrated and backtested against Nasdaq-100 behavior. The system's weights and thresholds are optimized for NDX/QQQ dynamics. Using it on other instruments will produce uncalibrated and likely unreliable results.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your TradingView access is revoked at the end of your billing period. Any active Alpaca connections will stop receiving signals. Your historical data on the dashboard remains accessible for 30 days post-cancellation.
